10% of Japan’s population have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Nikkei wrote that according to data released by the GOJ, 13,002,462 people, or more than 10% of Japan’s population, have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine as of June 27. Some 22.5% of those aged 65 and older have been fully vaccinated, and Japan has administered a total of 40,177,951 COVID-19 vaccine shots since its vaccination program began in February. The GOJ is planning to complete the vaccination program for the elderly by the end of July and for others by October or November.
