Serbian Olympic athlete tests positive at port of entry

All national dailies reported on Monday on the disclosure by the Health Ministry that a Serbian Olympic athlete in his 30s was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 through an antigen test upon arrival at Haneda Airport on Saturday. The rest of the five-member team was transported to a nearby quarantine facility since they were in “close contact” with the virus carrier.

The papers separately wrote that a Ugandan coach who had tested positive upon arrival at Narita Airport on June 19 and later joined his team in Osaka for a pretraining camp after being hospitalized tested positive again on Saturday even though he had tested negative twice two days earlier.
