At a press conference following a meeting with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace on July 20, Defense Minister Kishi Nobuo said that some vessels from the British carrier strike group visiting Japan in September will call at U.S. White Beach Naval Facility in Uruma City.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Queen Elizabeth, a state-of-the-art carrier of the British Navy, is scheduled to call at the U.S. Yokosuka Naval Base, and three of its accompanying vessels, including an anti-submarine frigate, will likely anchor at White Beach. (Abridged)
