The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) patrol confirmed that three China Coast Guard vessels were in the contiguous zone outside Japan’s territorial waters near the Senkaku Islands (Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture) on July 28. The last time China Coast Guard vessels were spotted in the area was July 19.

According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Naha), one of the vessels was carrying what appeared to be a cannon.
