Two teenage boys, the sons of U.S. civilian base workers, were referred to the public prosecutors office in early April on the charge of theft for the stealing of sport car parts at a private motor racing course in the Sosu district of Kunigami Village, the Okinawa Times learned on Aug. 4. The juveniles have admitted to the charge according to sources.

The two juveniles, 17 and 19 years old, are the sons of U.S. military base workers living in the central part of the main island, according to sources. The allegation is that at the end of January this year, they intruded on the grounds of the racing course and stole sports car parts.

The case has been referred to the Naha Family Court. It is suspected that the juveniles stole car parts several times, the sources said.
