The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) released a draft working schedule for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero in the waste industry by 2050. Emissions are to be reduced by over 80% from 2013 figures by reducing waste and reinforcing recycling efforts. Emissions will also be reduced by introducing Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology to incineration facilities.
