Japan’s Motegi to visit Middle East from Sunday

Tokyo, Aug. 10 (Jiji Press)–Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi told a press conference Tuesday that he will visit the Middle East for 10 days from Sunday to Aug. 24.


His tour of Egypt, the Palestinian autonomous region, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Iran and Qatar will follow the recent launches of the new governments in Iran and Israel.


On the aim of the trip, Motegi said, “I want to stress afresh Japan’s commitment to the Middle East and confirm the importance of a free and open international order based on the rule of law.”
