U.S., ROK officials discuss DPRK

Nikkei, Yomiuri, and Mainichi wrote from Seoul that U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Sung Kim and his South Korean counterpart Noh Kyu-duk held an in-person meeting in Seoul on Monday. The papers wrote that the two officials discussed possible humanitarian assistance to North Korea and the need for dialogue with Pyongyang. The papers quoted the U.S. envoy as telling reporters afterward that the United States supports inter-Korea humanitarian projects.
