On Oct. 20, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications provided a total of 7.943 billion yen in subsidies to eight political parties. The Japanese Communist Party did not apply for the subsidy. This was the third tranche of the government’s [quarterly] disbursements of political subsidies for fiscal 2021.
