All three were taken into custody on suspicion of driving a car while intoxicated with a level of alcohol exceeding the legal limit, which is 0.15mg per liter of breath.

According to the police station, the senior airman has admitted to the charges, while the two Marine corporals have been partially denying the charges, saying that they thought the alcohol had left their system. (Personal names have been redacted.)
