U.S. Marine arrested for trespassing in building

On Nov. 6, the Okinawa Police Station arrested on the spot a 24-year-old U.S. Marine Corps second lieutenant on suspicion of trespassing, allegedly entering a facility without justifiable reason. The Marine is affiliated with Camp Foster. The Marine reportedly denies the charge, saying that “I did not enter the building.”


The suspicion is that the Marine entered a wedding hall facility in Mihama, Chatan, without permission at around 2:35 a.m. on Nov. 6.


The Marine was reportedly drunk at the time. The incident was reported to the police by a security company. (Personal name has been redacted.)
