Two U.S. military personnel arrested for DUI in Okinawa

On Nov. 13, two U.S. military personnel were arrested on the spot for violating the Road Traffic Act (driving under the influence of alcohol) in Okinawa Prefecture.

 

According to the Ginowan Police Station, at around 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 13, a 21-year-old Marine lance corporal stationed at Camp Hansen allegedly drove a standard-sized automobile while under the influence of alcohol on route 58 in the Mashiki district of Ginowan City.

 

According to the Okinawa Police Station, at around 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 13, a 58-year-old U.S. military civilian employee who resides in Yomitan Village allegedly drove a standard-sized automobile while under the influence of alcohol on a prefectural road in the Chuo district of Okinawa City.
