WASHINGTON – The United States, Japan and South Korea will continue discussions to explore the best way forward to ensure North Korea’s denuclearization, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said Wednesday, with South Korea proposing the declaration of a formal end to the Korean War.
“On (the issue of) end of war…we are having good consultations amongst us and with other allies and partners and we will continue to do so,” she told a press conference after a trilateral meeting with her Japanese and South Korean counterparts in Washington.
She also said China should live by the rules-based international order and the United States will continue to work together collectively with Japan and South Korea to keep the rules in place.
