Japan urges its nationals to leave Ethiopia

At a press conference on Nov. 29, Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno Hirokazu said there are about 40 Japanese nationals (excluding Embassy staff) in Ethiopia as of Nov. 26. In light of the growing conflict there, the Japanese government is urging Japanese nationals to leave the country as soon as possible. No information that Japanese have fallen victim to the conflict has been confirmed at this point.
