The trial of a 21-year-old son of a U.S. civilian base worker for violation of the Cannabis Control Law was held at the Naha District Court on Dec. 13 (Judge Ohashi Koji presiding). The defendant admitted to the charge of possession of 0.469 grams of cannabis sprigs at his home located in the Nagahama district of Yomitan Village. The verdict was given on the same day.
