Japan’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that Pyongyang apparently fired two short-range ballistic missiles using solid rather than liquid fuel, shortening the time required for prelaunch preparations. Defense Minister Kishi told reporters on Tuesday that it is clear that North Korea is trying to enhance its ability to launch a surprise attack and that this poses a serious and imminent threat to the security of Japan.
