Kishida rules out “nuclear sharing” with U.S. again

Nikkei and Sankei reported that Prime Minister Kishida once again rejected the possibility of “nuclear sharing” with the United States during an Upper House Budget Committee meeting on Monday. He reportedly said: “We cannot accept it. It would run counter to the item on ‘not permitting the introduction of nuclear weapons’ under the Three Non-nuclear Principles.” Kishida also reportedly pointed out that the Kishida Cabinet “upholds” these principles as a national policy.
