Nagoya, March 11 (Jiji Press)–Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> suspended operations at two plants in Japan from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday, resulting in some 3,000 units in lost production, company officials said Friday.

The two plants were unable to receive auto parts from Kojima Industries Corp., a supplier hit by a cyberattack last month. Operations at the two plants returned to normal on Friday, the officials said.

The suspension affected one production line each at Toyota Auto Body Co. plants in Aichi and Mie prefectures.

Kojima was not able to handle a large number of orders it has been receiving via alternative routes while recovering from a glitch caused by the cyberattack.

Toyota halted operations at 28 production lines at all of its 14 plants in Japan on March 1 after the cyberattack on Kojima
