Asahi, Mainichi, and Sankei reported that Denso, a major parts supplier of Toyota Motor, officially announced on Monday that it confirmed “unauthorized access [to its network] by a third party.” The company was reportedly hit by a ransomware attack and some of its information was leaked as a result. The papers said Denso was also hit by a cyberattack last December. Asahi said a hacker group known as Pandora released a statement on Sunday saying it had stolen more than 157,000 items and 1.4 terabytes of data and threatened to release the data on March 16.
