Japan welcomes reference to extended deterrence in U.S. Nuclear Posture Review

Yomiuri wrote that during a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno welcomed the outline of the U.S. Nuclear Posture Review that was unveiled by the Biden administration on Tuesday as it says that maintaining a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent and strong and credible extended deterrence remain a top priority for the Department of Defense and the nation. Matsuno reportedly said that Japan strongly supports this posture of the United States.
