618 entities offer assistance to Ukrainian evacuees in Japan

Sankei reported that Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno said at a press conference on Monday that as of April 1, 618 companies and local municipalities had expressed their intention to support the Ukrainian evacuees in Japan. The paper said that while the GOJ will task the Foundation for the Welfare and Education of the Asian People with providing accommodations, living expenses, and other necessities to the evacuees soon after their arrival in Japan, it is planning to match the needs of the evacuees and the assistance offered by companies and municipalities after assessing them.
