All national dailies wrote that Prime Minister Kishida and Turkish President Erdogan discussed the Russian invasion of Ukraine and agreed on the need for reform of the UN Security Council during a 25-minute telephone conversation on Tuesday. According to Nikkei and Asahi, Kishida welcomed Turkey’s position of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
