Saturday morning’s Asahi, Yomiuri, and Sankei wrote that Secretary of State Blinken and Foreign Minister Hayashi held talks in Brussels on Thursday and agreed that the two nations will continue to work closely so as not to allow any attempt to change the status quo by force in the Indo-Pacific, especially East Asia, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Asahi noted that prior to his meeting with Secretary Blinken, Hayashi attended a NATO meeting and criticized China by name, saying: “China has yet to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.”
