Jiji took up remarks made to the press this morning by Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno denying a Nikkei story claiming that incoming ROK President-elect Yoon has unofficially asked about the possibility of participating as an observer in the upcoming Quad summit to be held in Japan in late May. The government spokesperson said Japan was not sounded out on such a possibility.
