Tokyo, April 26 (Jiji Press)–Takashi Asanuma became chief officer at Japan’s Digital Agency, its top administrative post, on Tuesday, succeeding Yoko Ishikura, the agency said.
Asanuma, 45, previously chief design officer at the agency, once served as chief experience officer at Japan Digital Design Inc., a unit of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. <8306>.
Karen Makishima, minister for digital affairs, told a news conference that it is important for the agency to provide services from the perspective of the people and users. “Asanuma is the right person,” she said.
Ishikura, 73, assumed the post of chief officer when the agency was launched in September last year.
