U.S., Russian ambassadors exchange harsh words on Twitter over Ukraine

Thursday’s Yomiuri wrote that U.S. Ambassador Emanuel and Russian Ambassador Galuzin have been exchanging harsh words on Twitter over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The paper wrote that Ambassador Emanuel tweeted on April 1, “Russian forces brazenly attack humanitarian convoys and steal food & medicine,” and Ambassador Galuzin responded by tweeting, “What is truly brazen is the constant compulsive lying of Washington and NATO officials regarding what has been actually happening in Ukraine.” Ambassador Emanuel tweeted again on April 4 to say: “Any country that doesn’t morally condemn these acts of violence has their hands on Putin’s bloody knife.” On the eight expelled Russian officials’ departure from Japan on April 20, Ambassador Emanuel tweeted, “Enjoy the flight home!”
