Broadcasters led with reports on the South Korean military’s firing of eight surface-to-air missiles together with the U.S. military this morning in response to the DPRK’s test-firing of eight ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan on Sunday (NHK) and the Japan Meteorological Agency’s announcement that the rainy season has officially begun in the Kanto and Koshin regions (NTV, TBS, Fuji TV, TV Asahi).
