Ambassador Emanuel tweets about his ride on an E231-series train

Rail Lab, a website providing news and information for people interested in trains, carried an article on Monday saying that U.S. Ambassador to Japan Emanuel, who is known for his love of trains, posted a tweet earlier in the day about his ride on an E231-series train on JR East’s Tokaido Line. The Ambassador posted photos of himself standing on the platform and sitting on the train along with the message: “Taking JR East’s Tokaido line for my first trip to Yokohama. @JREast_official is the largest passenger railway company in the world, but as always, right on time. Sasuga!” Rail Lab noted that the tweet received numerous replies, including: “I recommend the first-class cars or the box seats,” “Please enjoy the trains in Japan,” and “Please try taking local trains as well.”
