NHK reported that arrangements are being made by the United States and Japan for Secretary of State Blinken and Commerce Secretary Raimondo to hold talks with their Japanese counterparts in Washington on July 29. The network projected that in this economic version of a 2+2 ministerial meeting, the two sides are expected to exchange views on how to deepen bilateral cooperation in the areas of climate change and economic security including R&D for semiconductors.
