Iwakuni-based Marine arrested for breaking into home

On June 26, the Hiroshima Chuo Police Station arrested on the spot a 31-year-old Marine (who resides in Misumi Town, Iwakuni City) affiliated with Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni (Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture) for breaking into the apartment of a 24-year-old woman with whom he was not acquainted. According to the police, the suspect denies the allegation, saying, “I don’t remember entering the apartment.” The suspect is said to have been inebriated.
