Yomiuri reported that Prime Minister Kishida and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau held their first official in-person meeting on the margins of the G7 summit on Monday. The two leaders reportedly agreed to strengthen cooperation toward realizing a free and open Indo-Pacific. They also reportedly exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific and confirmed that any unilateral attempt to change the status quo is unacceptable.
