Saturday’s Ryukyu Shimpo wrote that Okinawa Prefectural Assembly President Akamine said on Friday that Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Korsunsky is making arrangements to visit Okinawa in August and that the assembly has made an informal request to the envoy to deliver a speech there. According to Akamine, Ambassador Korsunsky is planning to visit Okinawa on Aug. 5 to meet with Governor Tamaki and other Okinawa officials.
