TBS reported at noon that Prime Minister Kishida has appointed Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Hagiuda to concurrently serve in the newly created post of minister in charge of promoting green transformation (GX). The network said the government aims to realize carbon neutrality by 2050, adding that it convened its first task force meeting on GX this afternoon.
