The government will draw up by the end of this year a 10-year roadmap toward the nation’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The government, which estimates that public-private investment worth 150 trillion yen ($1 trillion dollars) will be necessary to achieve the goal over the next 10 years, will discuss how the 20 trillion yen ($146 billion) to be raised through GX bonds should be spent.
