Abe meets with Brazilian leader

On Oct. 19 Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held talks with Brazilian President Michel Temer at the Prime Minister’s Office [Kantei]. The two leaders signed memorandums to promote infrastructure investment and economic cooperation between their countries. At a press conference after the meeting, Abe expressed his intent to strengthen economic ties with Brazil, saying, “Brazil offers Japan a big investment opportunity.”
