Japan to send 10 election monitors to Myanmar

(Mainichi: September 9, 2015 – p. 9)    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sept. 8 that it will send about ten observers to Myanmar to monitor the country’s general election. Nippon Foundation Chairman Yohei Sasakawa will head the delegation as a government envoy. The observers will join Myanmar’s election management committee and monitor the election at polling stations.
